Rebentisch is a pure wave project. Concentrating on this has given the berlin band around mastermind Sven Rebentisch a fast growing audience and has made them an insiders tip within the scene. Rebentisch’s songs are a constant companion to many fans wherever they go, whether it’s the dancefloor or the terrace in moonlight.
"Herz zerrissen" ("torn heart") paints sounds with a wide spectrum from dreamy ("Die Suche"/the search) to fast forward ("Erinnerungsfetzen"/fractions of memory). Old school analog sounds and pleasant waveguitars are mixed with the electronic sound of the new millenium. While some tracks remind one of Welle:Erdball or Derriere Le Miroir, the various remixes sound like Massive Attack or Portishead. The core of the album are poetical german lyrics of a rare quality.
